VITOR GALVANI NAMED G LEAGUE HEAD COACH OF THE YEAR

Mexico City, April 1, 2026 — Mexico City Capitanes announced today that Vitor Galvani has been named the recipient of the Dennis Johnson Trophy as the NBA G League’s Head Coach of the Year for the 2025-26 season.

This honor marks a historic moment for Capitanes, as Galvani becomes the first head coach in franchise history to receive the award.

In his first season leading the team, Galvani guided Capitanes through an unprecedented campaign, taking the team to its first-ever NBA G League Playoffs appearance. Capitanes finished the regular season with a 24-12 record, securing second place in the Western Conference.
