Mexico City, March 24, 2026 — The history of basketball in Mexico City  is about to enter a new chapter as Capitanes secured a spot among the top four teams in the Western Conference following a crucial 112-99 victory over the Valley Suns, earning home-court advantage for the NBA G League Quarterfinals.

For the first time ever, the NBA G League postseason will be played in Mexico City. Arena CDMX will host Capitanes’ first-ever home playoff game on April 1, marking a milestone for the franchise, the league and the continued growth of professional basketball in Mexico.

With the win, Capitanes improved to a 24-10 record, reaffirming their place among the West’s elite as they close out the regular season with intensity, consistency and an identity built on teamwork, resilience and a unique connection with their fans.

Securing a Top 4 finish represents more than a competitive achievement: it means bringing the Playoffs home.
