First win in the Capitanes history

SOUTHAVEN, MS. November 5, 2021 – The Mexico City Capitanes won their first history win, defeating the Memphis Hustle 95-90 on Friday night.

After finishing the first quarter losing (22-19), Capitanes took the lead, and they would not give up for the remainder of the game, reaching a charge of 2 points in the second quarter (20-22) and a tie in the third quarter (25-25) to win the game for 5 points with a final score 90-95.

Leading the way for Capitanes was forward Alfonzo Mckinnie, who finished the night with 20 points. He also led the team with 16 rebounds in 40 minutes.

Justin Reyes also had significant defensive participation, finishing with 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 25 minutes in the contest.

Capitanes and Memphis Hustle retake the court Sunday afternoon, November 7, at 2:00 p.m. CT at Landers Center.
