Capitanes Unveil 2026-27 NBA G League Schedule

Mexico City's team will play 24 home games during a special season celebrating 10 years of history and its continued contribution to the growth of basketball.

Mexico City, August 28th, 2026.— Capitanes announced its schedule for the 2026-27 NBA G League season, featuring 24 home games at Arena CDMX.

The upcoming campaign will hold special significance for the organization as Capitanes celebrates its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, the team has worked to grow basketball across Latin America, bringing the sport closer to new generations, and looking towards the future with hopes to continue creating new opportunities for basketball in Mexico.

The 2026-27 campaign will tip off on Friday, November 6th, when Capitanes travel to face the Oklahoma City Blue in their first game of the Tip-Off Tournament.

The team will return to Mexico City for Opening Night on Sunday, November 8th at 6:30 p.m. CST, when Capitanes host the Texas Legends at Arena CDMX. The two teams will meet again on Tuesday, November 10 at 8:00 p.m.

The 2026-27 NBA G League season will be played in two stages. The first, known as the Tip-Off Tournament, will see each team play 14 games beginning November 6th and concluding during the NBA G League Winter Showcase in December.

Following the Tip-Off Tournament, team records will reset ahead of the start of the regular season, which will consist of 36 games.

Capitanes will open the regular season at home on Sunday, December 27th at 4:00 p.m. against the Valley Suns. The series will continue on Tuesday, December 29th at 8:00 p.m. CST.

All 31 NBA G League teams will play at least 50 games during the 2026-27 season. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top eight teams from each conference will advance to the NBA G League Playoffs, culminating with the NBA G League Finals in April 2027.

Among the marquee home series on Capitanes’ schedule are matchups against:

• Rio Grande Valley Vipers: December 7 and 8
• Coachella Valley Lakers: January 3 and 4
• Stockton Kings: January 10 and 12
• San Diego Clippers: March 14 and 15
