CAPITANES ANNOUNCES RETURN TO MEXICO CITY FOR 2022-23 NBA G LEAGUE SEASON

Mexico City, Aug 16, 2022 – Capitanes today announced its return to Mexico City for the 2022-23 NBA G League season.

Capitanes and Zignia have reached an agreement that will see Arena CDMX the new home of the Mexican team for the upcoming season, as Capitanes will play its home games in Mexico City for the first time since joining the NBA G League.

The announcement was made today by Rodrigo Serratos, Capitanes President; Alejandro Arce, Zignia Live Director; Nick Lagios, Capitanes General Manager; Ramón Díaz, Head Coach; and Raul Zarraga, NBA Mexico Vice President and Managing Director. 

Capitanes has also announced six priority home game dates for the 2022-23 season.  Official start times, opponents, and the full season schedule will be released at a later date. 

The six priority dates are listed below:

  • Friday, November 18
  • Friday, December 16
  • Friday, January 6
  • Saturday, January 14
  • Sunday, March 12
  • Sunday, March 19
