CAPITANES ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO MASON JONES

Mexico City, October 10, 2022 - Mexico City Capitanes have acquired the returning player rights to Mason Jones in a 3-team trade with Iowa Wolves and South Bay Lakers.
In return, the Iowa Wolves recieve the returning rights to Phillip Wheeler from Capitanes. Additionally, South Bay Lakers recieve Capitanes’ 2023 NBA G League Draft first and second-round picks, the returning rights of Jordan Howard, and Iowa’s first-round pick in the 2023 G League Draft.
Mason Jones (born July 21, 1998, in Dallas, Texas) played college basketball at The University of Arkansas. He joined the Houston Rockets in 2020-21, and then he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers until the end of this season. Mason played with South Bay Lakers in 2021-22 and was part of the 1st Team All-G League last year.
Capitanes will tip off the NBA G League 2022-23 season against the RGV Vipers on November 6 at Arena CDMX.
