ANDERSSON GARCIA GETS CALLED-UP TO UTAH JAZZ

Mexico City, March 11, 2026 — Capitanes announced the team’s first NBA call-up of the 2025-26 season.

Andersson Garcia has signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz, becoming the 9th player in Capitanes history to earn an NBA call-up, as well as the 5th Latin American player and the 3rd Dominican player to receive a call-up since the team joined the NBA G League.

Garcia joined Capitanes' ranks during the 2025-26 season following a successful collegiate career at Texas A&M University. During the G League season, Garcia appeared in 35 games, averaging 10.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Also worth highlighting, the Dominican forward set a new career high with 21 rebounds, earning Player of the Game honors for that night’s matchup against the San Diego Clippers.

This marks the 2nd NBA call-up under General Manager Orlando Méndez, further demonstrating both his personal commitment and Capitanes’ dedication to developing and supporting Latin American players on their path to the highest level.
